PAD Boris has been owner trained to assist his handler in dealing with multiple disabilities. His original training honed his natural ability to alert to seizures and he became quite skilled as a seizure alert and response dog. As vision loss became more of an issue for his handler, Boris took on the additional task of guide work. He is able to function quite well as a navigator, assisting his handler in obstacle avoidance, elevation and environmental changes, finding specified locations and using ‚ intelligent disobedience, to
keep his handler safe. Boris shares his home in Alabama with three two siblings, two other Australian Shepherds named Irwin and Declan and a toy poodle named Hoover, who takes enormous delight in aggravating Boris.Breed: Australian Shepherd
